Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast found themselves without power on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems impacted the state, generating strong winds topping 109 kilometers per hour.

Massive Hailstones and Widespread Destruction

Homeowners witnessed giant hailstones reaching sizes of seven centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Moist weather were expected to linger along much of Queensland's east this next several days as a atmospheric system continued to draw in moisture against the coast.

The following day was predicted as the wettest day, with persistent storm activity anticipated across various areas of both states.
