Details of the Grave Allegations The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of acts of sexual assault – including some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021. One senior prosecutor said, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.” Scope of the Investigation These allegations follow what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
