A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
